Well the title says it all, a comparison of the camera ability between my Nokia E7 running Symbian Belle OS and the new Nokia 701 also running Symbian Belle OS. This is not intended to be a debate on AF vs EDoF, this is just to see if there are any improvements to the camera in the new Belle devices now available.
First up I took a few images in the early morning (in low light) of the sunrise
Nokia 701 (Low Light - Early morning Sun)
I bought myself a Nokia 701 (Dark Steel) the other day, for no other reason than, well I wanted to. People have been saying it’s EdoF (Fixed focus) lens is better than previous Nokia’s with the same lens, namely the C7, C6-01, X7, E7, E6. This of course could be down to the fact that the Nokia 701 is running the latest iteration of the Symbian OS, Belle. Of course it could be just an improved version, anyway I have been playing with the camera, not only using the in-built application but also using HDR Photo Camera. Unfortunately the Nokia Panorama application is not yet available for the Belle OS, hopefully that will be rectified soon.
