It’s that time of year again, Nokia World 2011 is here. The same venue as last year in the Dockland’s, London. This journey has started very well with a business class upgrade on the flight there, thank you British Airways. After landing I met up with @jjklee from twitter, Jimmy Lee in real life, who I met last year at Nokia World. He had been waiting for several hours for me, good chap. After a minor debacle where we waited at the wrong terminal for @middleda to arrive, my fault entirely! We headed off to the Marriott, West India Quay to check in to the Hotel. A simple journey of Heathrow express to Paddington, then taxi to hotel
After check in, we wondered down to Carphone warehouse to obtain a “3” sim card each with all you can eat data, an absolute must for the days ahead.
After that, Jimmy went off to do some shopping and visit a cousin, I decided I needed a nap. That however did not work work out so i went for a wander, a Starbucks later and a few pictures, it was time to start meeting people in the bar.
A few of the pictures!
A little later, we all started to meet up in the bar for a few drinks before we went our separate ways for various organised meets etc.
That concludes an easy day one for me, pretty tired after no sleep and the coach leaves at 7.40am for the Excel centre tomorrow morning.
I should also point out that, the one, the only, the man himself, yes that’s right, it could only be @MrGrayburn was also in attendance. Fortunately for him i did not take a photo. Sorry Paul
