A Finnish Phone in New York (The Nokia N8 and I series)

The Americans gave us the “American Werewolf in London”, so I thought we should have the “Finnish Phone in New York”. This is just a post about my few days in New York City visiting friends for Thanksgiving and of course I took some photos with my Nokia N8.

This is in no particular order, just some sights as seen by the Nokia N8.First off we will start in a location that any “Highlander” fan will know. It is of course, the location where Macleod meets Kastigir. Now both my wife and myself like the original movie and in all our visits to New York had never managed to see “Bow Bridge” in Central Park. We have now. Here it is along with other photos of Central Park and, of course, some HDR’s.

The Nokia N9 and HDR Pro Camera – This Time it is Pro, But! (Updated)

So now we have a new application from the creators of Camera Pro, which if you read my previous post you will know I am not a fan of. This time it really is Pro!! Get it here HDR Pro Camera

So what is different about this app? Well for a start they seem to have taken their time and developed it with care and attention.

There are two sections to the application: HDR Photo, where you can fuse and edit 3 existing photos into one HDR image. Then there is HDR Camera where you can take the 3 brackets and then fuse or save for fusing later on.

The Nokia N9 and Camera Pro – A Perfect Match?

First off I should point out that I am not that impressed with the camera on the Nokia N9. Don’t get me wrong,  it is ok but it’s just not what I was expecting. This, of course, is more than likely my own fault, having too high expectations of it. I am a Nokia N8 user after all and it has undoubtedly spoilt me for all other mobile cameras. That is until Nokia release a new camera flagship of course. Fingers crossed on that one.

Anyway this is about Camera Pro, a free app from the Nokia Store. So what is different about Camera Pro from the in-built camera application? The short answer is: quite a lot. The long answer is… well, you’d better continue reading.

A Few Nokia Phones and Some Other Stuff

I thought I would do a post about my Nokia Gear, not just my phones, but everything. Well everything I can find  that is. So here it is, everything I have relating to Nokia. No doubt I will find loads more after I have written this, well I have for one thing excluded all my bluetooth headsets, such BH900, Bh702 etc. Just a little too boring, not that you won’t be bored by all this stuff anyway. Still some of you might enjoy it as much as I do.
